Celebrating and Outreach of Love

To hightlight the historical significance of the Scottish Mission in Budapest during its 175th Anniversary this month, the Reformed Church in Hungary, in cooperation with St. Columba's congregation, is launching two new websites. The first website spotlights the Mission's historical significance in the city and the impacts it has had on the Reformed Church in Hungary. The second is a renewed online platform for the congregation itself, giving details about the life and mission of St Columba's.

New Focus, Same Commitment

Following a June meeting with Swiss Interchurch Aid (HEKS), HEKS and RCH have signed a memorandum of commitment for another three-year country program (CP) in Hungary. This CP will focus on continued Roma outreach as well as on the integration and inclusion of refugees.

You Welcomed Us Into Your Kingdom

The RCH has recently published an English translation of a popular interview series done highlighting the work of Roma youth, mission workers, pastors, and artists within the RCH. The publishing of this work was supported by the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland (EKiR).

Lovingly Challenging

Rev Chris Ferguson, General Secretary of the WCRC, was recently invited to address the General Convent of the Hungarian Reformed Churches in Slovakia and then continued on to Budapest to talk with the RCH about ecumenical accompaniment and the vital work of the church in the wider world.
