„In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.” (John 1,4)
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
As we celebrate the life-giving light at this Christmas, amidst war and human darkness, let us continue praying and joining forces in God’s mission for a world that reflects the arrival of our only hope, Jesus Christ, Prince of peace.
The Gospel continues to bring peace to our souls, rest for our hearts and hope for the future, remembering Isaiah’s prophecy: “The people walking in darkness have seen a great light.” (Isaiah 9:2)
We express our deepest gratitude for your tremendous solidarity this year with the people in Ukraine, especially our Reformed community in Transcarpathia. Together, we have been striving to witness - in words and deeds - to the advent of the “light of all mankind” in the shadow of the war. May this great light lead us on our joint path also in the New Year.
On behalf of the Reformed Church in Hungary, we wish you a blessed Christmas.
