Beloved Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
As we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, we extend our heartfelt greetings to all our Christian brothers and sisters in a spirit of love and gratitude.
Christmas is often called “the celebration of love,” and truly it is. Yet it is not merely about the emotional warmth of human love, which can at times be fragile or fleeting, but about the eternal and divine love of God. This is the love that not only comforts and strengthens, but renews, transforms, and gives life. “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son…” (John 3:16) — this stands at the very heart of the Christmas message. In Jesus Christ, God’s incarnate love has entered our world, to dwell among us and to bring salvation.
Jesus is not only the embodiment of God’s love, but also the Prince of Peace. He brings a peace that far surpasses the absence of war or a momentary calm: a peace that reaches into the deepest places of the human heart, flowing from reconciliation with God. This peace cannot be bestowed by the world, for it does not arise from external circumstances, but from God’s grace. Christ is the one who even today brings this deeply longed-for peace into our communities, our families, our relationships, and into the very midst of our troubled world. He is the one who kindles hope amid uncertainty and reveals the way when human wisdom proves limited.
Christmas calls us to receive and embrace this divine love and peace, and share them generously with those who live beside us — with all those in need of comfort, strength, and mercy. May this holy season be a time of spiritual renewal, and may the year 2026, the Year of Prayer in our Church, become a time of deeper abiding in God’s love, and of growth in service and unity.
May the blessing of our Lord rest upon our congregations, institutions, ministers, and all our brothers and sisters. May God grant that His light shine within our hearts, thanksgiving resound within our homes, and the peace of Christ become the binding and sustaining force within our communities.
We wish you a blessed Christmas and a New Year abundant in God’s grace, peace, and hope.
