Those who are believers have to make feel others that there is a hold whom you can grab in everyday work. This ‘handhold’ is God, Dr. Adorjáni confessed publicly right after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Together with his colleagues, he did everything in his might for the recovery and dignified treatment of his patients. It is poignant and distressing that his died due to the coronavirus.

The Presidium of the General Convent, the governing body of the Hungarian Reformed Church in the Carpathian Basin, was shocked to receive the news of the death of our brother Gusztáv Adorjáni, but we accepted it without grumbling against our heavenly Father. May God comfort the grieving family and the whole community of our Church.

Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown. (Rev. 2,10)
