Vibrant beats, catchy choruses, deep messages - the theme song of the this year's Starpoint Youthfestival has been published. According to the theme of the meeting, the Starpoint Band, the Első lépés (First Step) Band from Debrecen, jointly composed the hit of the festival to celebrate freedom.
The lyrics about the depth and height of struggles and joys, and about freedom flowing from the redemption, is accompanied by a video clip. Beside reflecting on the theme the video also reveals the locations of the Starpoint on the campus of the University of Debrecen, home of the festival.
Every two years, thousands of Reformed youth from all over the Carpathian Basin and international guests from around the world gather to worship, fellowship, and grow in faith with one another at the Starpoint Reformed Youth Festival. Each year, during the festival, youth participate in various programs, including opening and closing worships, daily keynotes, roundtable discussions and workshops, and evening devotions and small groups. Unlike other festivals, Starpoint is a festival for youth by youth, with a group of more than 600 people taking part in organizing and running the event.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, international delegates, who have been invited since 2009, won't be able to attend Starpoint this year. The 2021 Starpoint Reformed Youth Festival will be held on 27-31 July in Debrecen, focusing on the theme "Freedom".
