Opening of Diaconia Shop

On October 16th, the Hungarian Reformed Church Aid (HRCA) celebrated opening a new location for its “DIACONIA” brand at the Récsei Center in Budapest. With the establishment of this shop, HRCA marks a significant milestone in its economic development efforts associated with the Emerging Settlement Programme.

The Residents of the Children’s Home in Nagydobrony Received a Donation of Own Brand Food

A delegation of the Hungarian Reformed Church Aid donated more than two million forints worth of non-perishable food to the residents of the Good Samaritan Reformed Children's Home in Nagydobrony (Velyka Dobron, Transcarpathia, Ukraine). The products were prepared by the residents of the most disadvantaged villages included in the Catching-Up Settlements programme.

HRCA Search and Rescue Team Saved Lives Again Last Year

The search and rescue team of the Hungarian Reformed Church Aid (HRCA) closed an eventful year. The unit, which is five years old this year, was instrumental last year in providing assistance after the earthquake in Turkey, rescuing several survivors from the rubble.

Community Christmas Events at the Refugee Ministry

The Refugee Ministry of HRCA recently hosted two community events to bring its clients together for Christmas. The events were open to clients of the Refugee Ministry and featured various activities, from building gingerbread houses to crafting decorations.

HRCA Supports Twenty-Four Social Kitchen in Ukraine

The Hungarian Reformed Church Aid Helps in Morocco

The Hungarian Reformed Chuch Aid (HRCA) delivers humanitarian aid to the earthquake victims in Morocco. The first delegation of the organisation flew to Marrakesh on September 10th to support the families with durable food and hygiene products, and to plan further assistance by assessing local needs. The HRCA is also launching a fundraising campaign to support the mission in Morocco.

RCH Received a Minibus to Help in Transcarpathia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade has donated a nine-passenger minibus to the Synod Office of the Reformed Church of Hungary to help the work of Hungarians in Transcarpathia.

Seeds of Hope

On 19 April, the Hungarian Reformed Church Aid delivered a humanitarian transport containing seeds to Transcarpathia from its warehouse in Beregdaroc. In the "Seeds of Hope" program, a total of 11 tonnes of seeds were delivered to the border region by HRCA. The total value of the transport exceeds one hundred thousand euros.

New Minibuses Help the Church’s Relief Assistance in Transcarpathia

HRCA Helped Again a Hospital in Transcarpathia

Shortage of medicines and doctors is plaguing hospitals in Transcarpathia, while more and more patients are arriving from inside Ukraine. Since the outbreak of the war, the Hungarian Reformed Church Aid has been offering help thanks to donations. This time, more than 3 million forints worth of medicines were delivered to the Central City Clinical Hospital in Uzhhorod.

Solidarity With Pastors in Ukraine

Those who stay in Ukraine and continue serving faithfully among elderly people and refugees need help themselves. The Presidium of the Reformed Church in Hungary issued a circular requesting pastors to offer parts of their salaries for the fellow ministers in Ukraine, persevering and serving faithfully in the Reformed Church in Transcarpathia.
