RCH Joined Appeal to End Sanctions Against Syria

RCH joined the initiative of the Christian Solidarity International (CSI) urging to stop sanctions against Syria. Bishop István Szabó supports the appeal and signed the open letter to presidents of the US and the European Council.

First Syriac Center in Hungary Opened

On December 16, 2020, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received the keys of the building which the Government of Hungary gave to the Syriac Orthodox Patriarchate to administer as a Syriac Center for the period of 50 years.

Károli Christian Scholarship

The Károli Gáspár University of the RCH established a scholarship scheme for young Christian students living in minority in selected countries of the Middle-East, Asia and Africa. Applications are no open for the Acedemic year 2021/22.

RCH joined the WCRC's call for prayer and support for those affected by the explosion in Beirut. Bishop István Szabó sent letters of solidarity to NESSL and UAECNE and assured RCH's partner churches of symphaty and support.
