A szíriai háború közepette Mathilde Sabbagh, amint befejezte teológiai tanulmányait, visszatért szülővárosába, az északkelet-szíriai Haszakehba, hogy az ifjúsági misszióban szolgáljon. Senki sem számolt azzal komolyan, hogy szolgálata újra életet hoz a gyülekezetbe.

First Syriac Center in Hungary Opened

On December 16, 2020, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received the keys of the building which the Government of Hungary gave to the Syriac Orthodox Patriarchate to administer as a Syriac Center for the period of 50 years.

The Károli Gáspár University of the RCH established a scholarship scheme for young Christian students living in minority in selected countries of the Middle-East, Asia and Africa. Applications are no open for the Acedemic year 2021/22.
